Hartford House offers custom design of handcrafted wooden furniture for customers wanting to add their own distinctive, individual touch to that special furniture piece. We can alter any of our collection pieces to suit your needs—from changing the dimensions to adding a special finish, hardware or hand painted accents.

If you don’t see what you want in our showroom, then bring in a photo or sketch of the piece you want, and our designers and craftsmen will work with you to create a special one-of-a-kind piece. And you’ll be surprised at how affordable our custom pieces are—most of our custom pieces are comparable to the prices you’ll find at high-end, mass-furniture retailers, yet our pieces are crafted onsite, in northeast Georgia, from solid wood with hand finishing, making them heirloom quality investments.

For most of us, buying furniture is a big investment. We understand that, and we never want you to feel rushed or pressured when you’re making decisions about purchasing furniture from Hartford House.

That’s why we’ve set aside a corner of our store we call The Design Center. It’s stocked with paint samples, upholstery fabrics, hardware styles, leg and post options…everything you need to design the furniture you want for your personal space.

Naturally, you may want to take samples with you to see how they will look in a particular setting. We’re more than happy to supply samples of standard items for you, and we don’t mind creating custom samples if the need arises.

We invite you to spend as much time as you need in The Design Center. We’ll be there with you to offer design tips, friendly advice and even a cup of coffee, if you need it!
